Johnny Yong Bosh was born on 6 January 1976 in Kansas City, Missouri, US. He is the son of a Korean mother and German/Irish father. He is a part of an “edge rock” band called ‘Eyeshine‘. There are four members in this band, which was initiated by the efforts of Johnny Yong Bosch and Maurice Salmin, Alex Orantes and Danny Lee joined the band later on, and now the band consists of all these our members. Bosch handles the vocals and guitar, Alex handles the bass and vocal, Maurice handles the vocals and drums and Danny is the lead guitarist of in the band. It was announced by Bosch on 23 March 2009, that its two members Alex Orantes and Danny Lee would be leaving the band due to their personal reasons.

Bosch is active in voice acting, martial arts, music and he also acts on screen. He was much appreciated for his role in ‘Mighty Morphin Power Rangers’ as “Adam Park“. He lends his voice for “Vash the Stampede” (English) in ‘Trigun‘, for “Ichigo Kurosaki” in ‘Bleach‘, for “Lelouch Lamperouge” in ‘Code Geass’, for “Itsuki Koizumi” in ‘The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya’, for “Kiba” in ‘Wolf’s Rain’ and for “Nero” in ‘Devil May Cry 4′.

He appeared in a Documentary ‘Adventures in Voice Acting’ (as himself) and in a non-anime role in ‘Three Delivery’ as “Sid“. He has also been associated with numerous video games like ‘The Last Remnant‘, ‘Summon Night: Twin Age’, ‘Magna Carta II’, ‘Bleach: The Blade of Faith’, ‘Bleach: Shattered Blade’, ‘Bleach: Dark Souls’, etc. He has written, directed and produced a film, which is under post- production; the name of the film is ‘Stray‘. He has also worked for the film ‘Broken Path’ along with Koichi Sakamoto. He has also acted in this film but nothing is yet known about the date of its release.

Role in Bleach

Johnny Yong Bosch has done voice-over for “Ichigo Kurosaki” in ‘Bleach’ tv show. He is the main protagonist of the story. Ichigo is a teenage boy, who unintentionally absorbs the powers of Rukia, and ends up becoming the substitute Soul Reaper.
