Bleach is Japanese manga series written by Tite Kubo. Bleach Seasons explore the escapades of Ichigo Kurosaki who unintentionally attains the powers of a Soul Reaper and protects human beings from immoral souls and guides dead souls to the afterlife. This dormant concept was given animated life by Noriyuki Abe. In both Japan and America, it is one of the best selling manga productions. The anime production has achieved a place in top ten series of America for consecutively for three years. This action fantasy originally runs on YTV, Anime Central and Cartoon Network since October 5, 2004. Till now, it has aired 240 episodes during 12 Bleach Seasons.
Bleach Season 1 begins with the surprising emergence of Rukia Kuchiki in the room of young Ichigo Kurosaki. Rukia is a soul reaper, whose work is to lead the souls of deceased persons and to protect human beings from fugitive spirits of dead world. She is amazed by the ability of Ichigo Kurosaki, who is able to watch her. While they were exchanging dialogues, ‘hollow’, an evil spirit attacks them. Rukia gets brutally injured in order to save Ichigo and attempts to transfer half of her power to him so that he can defend himself from hollow. But unintentionally he attains all of her power, leaving after which he defeats hollow easily. It was the beginning of Ichigo’s new journey to save humans from sinful spirits and to send them to their ultimate destination, the dead world. All Bleach seasons revolve around him as he carries out the new voyage.
In 2006 and 2007, the English adaptation of this Japanese series has received nominations for ‘best manga’ and ‘best theme’ at American Anime Awards. In December 2006, the series marked its place in the top 10 series in North America and in February 2007, its 17th volume was best volume for the month. Even though it is animated version and basically for youth and children but it has been successful in getting love from all age groups.
